The Care We Provide
At Hope Behavioral Care, we provide individual and couples sessions, as well as family therapy. If you decide to begin counseling services with us, an intake appointment session will be scheduled with the Doctor to gather some background information in order to decide upon the most appropriate treatment.
Our main goal is to support you on your journey to gain more clarity and direction in order for you to maximize your fullest potential and to tap into your purpose. It’s never too late to try again, regardless of past fears, failures, or perceived shortcomings.
Using either a cognitive-behavioral or interpersonal approach, your sessions are tailored to your individual needs, and incorporate and reinforce the coping skills and strategies that will work best for you. This includes, but is not limited to aromatherapy, music, arts, sports, and writing techniques. Upon request, we can also provide Christian-based counseling. We can support you in identifying and processing negative, self-defeating thoughts and behaviors that often hinder the progress you wish to make. In the safe space we create together, we move through the challenges to develop a greater love for yourself and work on the goals you have always wanted to achieve.
Dr. Richards truly enjoys supporting clients diagnosed with and in need of support for depression, social phobias, fears, anxiety, race-based stressors, self-confidence concerns, and self-esteem challenges. Additionally, as a certified anger management specialist since 2014, Dr. Richards works to support clients in managing their emotional responses to triggers and finding a positive meaning to life.
